Am Fuaran
Bar & Restaurant

Am Fuaran Bar is a traditional coastal bar serving fresh meals and beverages on the Coigach Peninsula.

The name ‘Am Fuaran’ means ‘the well’ in Scottish Gaelic. This pays homage to a well at the bottom of the driveway which initially served as a watering hole for passing travelers. Today, rather than drink from a hole in the ground, find comfort and refreshment at the Am Fuaran Bar.

The bar has been trading since 1976 when it’s founders, Mr and Mrs. Wilson, built it up from a nineteenth-century ruin. The bar is currently owned and run by the couples two children, Andrew and Catriona, along with Catriona’s husband David.
